Description

The sugar maple is the state tree of New York. It contains the sweetest sap of all maple trees and is used to make most maple syrup and maple sugar. The sugar maple also features spectacular fall foliage, ranging from yellow to orange to red each year. You can find dozens of this species throughout Central Park, particularly at the Pool and the North Meadow.
